OMG you have filled my head with Christmas horror. I bet you a lot of these creatures were dreamed up by parents anticipating a long winter season closed up indoors with rambunctious children. My favorite is le Pere Fouettard, because he has the coolest name. Was there a Mere Fouettard, I wonder.
